A few years ago I was shown how in scripture the symbology is actually explained in other verses. There are some instances where some future event is told about and that it going to happen in so many "days".

Here is a clue in scripture:

2 Peter 3:8
"But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."

After that I was reading Hosea and found something that I had not seen before.

Hosea 6:2
"After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight."

Now you will want to read Hosea for the context, but based on what I read I was inclined to get my calculator. At first I just calculated based on our years. I added 2000 years for the 2 days in Hosea to the time when they were "taken away" to Assyria. That was about 723 BC. Not counting the year zero I came up with 1276 AD. So if I read correctly after the year 1276 we should have seen a revival. I think that the "dark ages" were coming to a close at this time.

Now I took 723 BC. and added 3000 years. That comes to 2276. Looking at the phrasing we should be raised up and "live in his sight" before the date 2276. That sounds perhaps like life on the new earth to me. I call that good news.

I had been told that the Bible Israelites may have used a different number of days for the year than we do now, but I have also become aware of 5 "door days" that were added to their year. Without those "door days" their year would have been 360 days. So with those door days the year remains at 365 days per year. The 360 that they used referred to degrees.

I have wondered if the word "revive" in Hosea 6:2 might refer in some way to Ezekiel 37? Only God knows, but there may indeed be some who read this who will be alive to see the coming of Yahshua the Christ?
